...what was formerly an open, spontaneous, healthy, innocent, naïve, "non-denominational" movement of people of all sorts that demanded simple and true "justice" from Spanish Politicians and Establishments has in the past few months swerved and is now full of left wing opportunistic and / or extremist or plain rude and violent thugs and the likes. They have occupied the place of the movement that allowed for all kinds of people. A peaceful and open movement has now been "occupied" by those that auto-proclaim themselves to represent the identity of 15 M. Some yell, spit and throw stones at police; others enjoy getting together to get blasted: alcohol, drugs, whatever; others like creating as much chaos as they can - the purpose can be to have a little violent fun, looting, beating, and the likes.
15M has disappeared and those of us that truly and at heart made up this fantastic movement can no longer support these beasts; they are becoming more menacing, more radical, less tolerant, and instead of proposing realistic solutions to confront and overcome the crisis, these great minds can only think up they want more assistance, more money, greater unemployment checks, they demand the government incur greater expenses, they demand companies and "the rich" pay more taxes ("rich" being anyone that earns more than they do)... an endless list of pathetic, violent demands. These people did not and do not represent 15M. 15M is gone and dissappeared when these beasts stepped in.

Veo a personas buscando gresca.

What is the Spanish "15 M"?
It was simply an unplanned and spontaneous complaint of people in Spain with regards to the politicans we have: unprepared, little or no true commitment, high salaries, benefits and privileges, focused on collecting and spending more, rather than on spending efficiently and providing for those that really need it. It is NOT about paying less taxes. We, in Spain, are aware taxes must exist and that it is necessary to keep our society moving and assist the needy. We are happy to pay them, and very especially now that many of our compatriots need our help. On the other hand, we do not want our hard earned Euros to finance expensive cars, meals, chauffeurs, per diems, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc for this inept, selfish and greedy political class. We are running out of people and parties we can vote for. We are sick and tired of these incompetent politicians and we demand competence, commitment and decency.
That is what 15-M was all about.
Then, there are many that have attempted to take advantage of the cause and name themselves the initiators and representatives of the spontaneous public reaction. They try to change the meaning of 15-M and obtain personal gain from it. The beautiful thing about 15-M was that it was a clamour for justice and decency, and no-one should be to gain from it. If it was against something, it was against ALL of our political class, with no exception. We demand they rule rationally and utilize the resources we provide them with with utmost efficiency, care and respect, and aim them at trully helping the needy and activiting our economy, rather than spending on themselves and in their own interest. We demand accountability and jail for those that betray their country and people.
